throughout the iron man films one of the key character points of Tony Stark has been the fact that when it comes to technology he is ruthless; he will literally throw away complex high grade missile tech in a cave, because it’s ‘irrelevant’, he will instruct that his heart in the form of the arc reactor be incinerated because it is an ‘antique’.

Who I pair them with: Y’know, Tony is one of those guys who you ship with evvveryone, like Sirius or Captain Jack. Soooo Steve, Bruce, Pepper, Phil, Fury, Batman, Wolverine, that one guy playing Galaga… I think that’s it.
Who I dislike them with: Natasha would be horrible. I don’t think anyone ships that, but…
Why I like/hate them: The guy’s an engineer through and through. He doesn’t give up. And when he realizes he doesn’t like the direction he’s going in, he does his level best to change it.
Favourite physical feature: smile. eye crinkles. hands.
Least favourite quality in the character: a penchant for self-destruction
3 Headcanons: (1) This one comes from scifigrl47’s Tales of the Bots ‘verse. It’s that Tony made Dummy shortly after his parents died to keep him company. (2) If no one stops him, Tony will engineer himself out of having to do every chore in existence. (3) Tony’s favorite blanket lives in his workshop and he does his best thinking curled up in one of his cars with his blanket pulled over him.
My OTP for said character: Steve/Tony. It’s not only fucking awesome in terms of the whole old/new, saving each other, familial connections thing, I also just have such respect for the sheer AGE of this ship.
Stark always had a control problem. When he wasn’t abusing it, he was losing it.
